Coaches Comments:
Another great game of Auskick with plenty of goals and great play from both teams. The Cheetahs have really clicked in the last couple of games and listened to instruction. As a result they have become a selfless team, always looking to bring team mates into the play. We've been working on our handball technique recently and that paid off during this week's game with every single Cheetah having at least one handball and all players that had a run in the forward line kicking goals. The kicking and marking during training is also steadily improving. It's amazing to see the change that has occurred over the last two months from a group who didn't know much about Auskick, to now a team who love training and playing together each Saturday.
Best Players:
BEST PLAYER Finn Murphy really got into the game this week and was rewarded with his first goal of the season and could have had another couple with a bit of luck. Good to see Finn running hard out into space for the ball and getting more and more confident in himself each week. If he keeps giving his best effort like today he'll continue to grow. OTHER AWARDS Lucas Sizer missed a couple of games early in the season, but it hasn't held him back from getting better each week. Lucas works hard during training to improve. His serious 'game face' was on display today, until his goal during the second half resulted in a very big grin. Ben Newstead is another Cheetah who is always working hard to improve himself during training. His kicking is coming along very well because of the effort he is putting into his technique. Great to see Ben running hard for the ball when it is kicked out into the open and then looking for team mates further down the ground.
