Coaches Comments:
After a week off for the bye, the Cheetahs found themselves a bit short of players with a few either sick or on holidays. Luckily, we had some Lions players help us out and play some great footy for us. Thanks to those Lions who helped us out. It was a nice sunny morning which helped with our training. After only a few weeks the skills of the Cheetahs have really improved. Some of the kicking is very impressive for pre-primary Auskickers and it's great to see some quality marks being taken too. After a slow first half in which we didn't concentrate on the game the whole time, the Cheetahs started brilliantly in the second half, with the back and midfield working hard to get the ball and sharing well between each other which resulted in plenty of chances for our forwards. Slowly but surely we are improving and getting the hang of the game situation.
Best Players:
BEST PLAYER Kieran Darling really got into the action this week. Running hard to get the footy, his second half was fantastic and included some goal saving efforts deep in defense. Great job Kieran. OTHER AWARDS Finn Murphy copped an injury after a ruck contest but after 30 seconds or so came back onto the ground and did a great job for his team. It's also great to see Finn always listening and looking to improve. Ryder von Bergheim worked hard to to get the footy and looked for his team mates. Excellent work to see Ryder giving off handballs near goal to set up other Cheetahs.
