Coaches Comments:

Well this week was a Derby with mostly Hillarys PS kids fighting for supremacy on the footy field, and bragging rights in the school playground. The Pumas had a lot of the ball early on and kicked out to a quick 3 goal lead but that lead was quickly clawed back late in the first quarter thanks to some accurate kicking. The kids were playing well as a team all day and started to pick out their targets or dispose the ball to open parts of the field for their team mates to run onto. As always, the coach provided some solid advice at the half time break which carried the team through to the end. Keep working the ball between your team and look for opportunities to deliver to a target. Well done to all of you and cant wait for more next week.

Levi DiGiovanni showed all the weet-bix he has been eating have gone into his legs cos he shot up six inches in the last week and therefore got a lot of touches from high flying balls in his vicinity. Not to be outdone, Oliver Liddle used his height in the ruck and around the packs to get a number of touches, some of which converted into goals late in the third quarter. Jake Perozzi was often in the thick of the action and took advantage of some loose spoils which came his way. Not to be outdone by the boys, Makenzie was a ball magnet all day. She created space all over the field and presented well for all the team to kick the ball her way, and then moved it on well. Great work kids !!
