Coaches Comments:

On a cloudy but dry morning, it was wet on the ground from rain over night, the boys finally get to start Auskick for 2016. A build up which seems to be more anticipated and longer coming than Christmas, we had a very constructive first training session with kick to kick followed by some handballs and marking. It is noticeable how far the boys have come since day one last year, and is great to see the progression and the confidence shine though them. During the game, we saw Mason Harding, Zac Tayler Klymovich and Mitchell Hudson take on their team mates from 2015. The Cheetahs demonstrated a brilliant early understanding, controlling the play and passing the ball around impressively. Some strong marks were taken, and held, making the umpires job easy. A good spread of goal kickers and boys who really gave a good account of their skills, the toughest job of the day is to pick out only one person for best on ground!

Best Players:

Declan Proctor showed good skills and took out the player of the day certificate. Special mention to Jaxon Pollard, who with the support of his team mates, stood up well after some name calling had upset him. Great team spirit already on display in the Cheetahs.
