Coaches Comments:

Another great Autumn day for Round#2. We played the Lions who had some talented and experienced players but our boys never gave up, defending well and intercepting many kicks from the Lions. Cyrus, Kai, Jackson and Ben started in the centre and did a great job rucking the ball to one another and clearing the ball down to Xavier, Hugo and Eli. With only a few goals scored in the first quarter, the boys all did a great job chasing down the ball and gaining possession. We missed Jacob today but no doubt he’ll be good to go for next week. Clancy had another good week taking some great marks and kicking long, while Reuben and Zachary worked hard and well together. Zachary held his ground in the last line of defence, taking some brilliant marks and stopping imminent goals. With a few hard lessons learned today, the focus for next week will be manning up when the other team has the ball, getting to the ball first and trying hard to get the ball to a team mate. Well done boys! I’m loving the great attitudes, sportsmanship and team bonding. Thanks again to all the parents/carers and helpers. Feel free to reach out to me for anything.
