Coaches Comments:

As the rain held away, the kids came to play. With a full team at pregame training, it was clear from the outset that they were keen to come back for more. When the game started, they were placed under a lot of pressure with the other team piling on 4 unanswered goals early. Not to be outdone, the team fired back with a few of their own close to half time to close the gap. They kicked away early in the second half, but some quick hands and ball movement from end to end, combined with the never say die attitude, provided good results on the scoreboard. A kick after the siren brought the game back to a draw.

Best Players:

Max Stirling bucked the normal trend of white line fever when it comes to shots on goal, and instead chose to share the ball round to great effect with many of his kicks hitting their targets on the chest. Meanwhile down the other end of the field, Levi DiGiovanni was racking up touches and turning them into goals of his own which were greatly needed by the team. Azayah Dunn chipped in for an important late goal after spotting a loose opportunity whilst roving a pack in the forward pocket. Meanwhile, one of our newest and best recruits, Angelica Katsambanis solidified her position as a key player with multiple bursts up the wing and releasing it forward to great effect. Well done to all the team and especially these few who shone on Saturday.
