What a great game of footy today. It feels like I have been starting with that line far too often this season, but this has been the best game of Auskick that I have seen, the free flowing game, the movement of the ball with kicks and handballs was fantastic. After our training session last week, practicing leading for the ball, I asked the boys to lead whenever possible and I told them that I would award the boys that showed me the best leads today. Well I had trouble picking just 3 players! Ryan offered great leads for his team mates to kick to. Rohan stayed with his opposition player all game making it very difficult for his opponent to get the ball. Cian offered fantastic leads from the goal square. Lucas called very loudly for the ball. Scott played a fantastic all round game, offering leads, manning up and chasing the footy hard. Elliot took a while to get started but after the first quarter he was running all over the field calling loud for the footy and offering some strong leads for his team mates to kick too. Well done to all the above boys, award winners for today. Great job by all the boys today, looking forward to another strong game next week.
