Auskick is back from July 18!
Great news! Auskick in WA has a Return to Play date of Saturday July 18th and WJFC are looking forward to having new and familiar faces join our program this year. However, the current Auskick program is currently facing some logistical challenges as we must adhere to the State Government’s "Phase 3" health guidelines effective as of 6th June 2020.
We are busily working to meet these guidelines to ensure our program can continue to be a fun and safe environment for all participants. With the season still over five weeks away, we have our fingers crossed that by July 18th restrictions will be eased further, which will result in less of a burden for the club, coaches, managers, parents and players.
Whilst we wait for the AFL to advise how they expect the program to run we envisage that the season will from July 18th through to September 19th (10 weeks). As soon as we get an update we will forward onto our members.
What we do know is our session times:
PP: 8:00-9:00am
Yr1: 9:10-10:15am
Yr2: 10:25-11:35am
Pre-Primary Families: WJFC will be holding an Auskick Parent Information session on Saturday 27th June, 8:30am at MacDonald Reserve Club Rooms. This is a parent only session (to help keep numbers within restrictions) so we ask that you please leave the kids at home. More details will be emailed to PP families directly.
Year 1 - Year 2: Team allocations will be emailed to each group over the coming week. The reason for this is that we remain unable to meet in large numbers at the clubrooms and although it is essential to speak to the Pre-primary cohort who have not been involved in Auskick before we believe the majority of Year 1 and 2 families will be familiar with their teams and how the program runs.
Merchandise / Uniform: WJFC Shorts and socks and other merchandise will be available for purchase on Sunday 28th June (their jumper is supplied by the club). As the PP group are all new participants, we ask that their families come down from 9am-10am and the rest of the Auskick families (Y1-2) come down from 1015am-1145am. Please make sure that only one parent attends with their child/ren so that we can keep within the maximum limit of people allowed to gather at one time.
Again, we thank you for your patience over the past few weeks and can't wait to getting the kids back to footy in July.
